Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which buy buttons are clicked. It collects standard usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. We use it in aggregate to improve the site.
• Contact form messages. If you send a message, we receive your name, email address, topic and message so we can reply. Messages are delivered by email and are not used for marketing.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability.

We don't run accounts, newsletters, comments or paid products, so we don't collect passwords or payment details.

Cookies and affiliate links

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish visits. When you click a buy button, you leave our site for the retailer (currently Amazon), which may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to our Associates account. Those cookies are governed by the retailer's privacy policy, not ours. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.

What we never do

• We don't sell or rent personal information.
• We don't share your contact-form details with brands or retailers.
• We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the site: our web host, Google (analytics) and Microsoft (email delivery for the contact form). They process data only as needed to provide those services.

Your choices

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies. To ask what information we hold from a contact-form message, or to have it deleted, email mike@blackironathletics.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we will honor valid requests.
